Crowds turned out to see ‘all things outdoor’ at the Shepparton Great Outdoor and 4x4 Expo on the weekend.
Exhibition manager Richard Hiscock said the expo had proven to be another success, providing people with an outing on their weekend.
Mr Hiscock said during the course of the weekend, numbers were expected to reach more than 10 000.
‘‘The first two days were up on last year, so we expect that there would be more than 10 000 people here over the three days,’’ he said.
With people travelling from across the state to attend the third annual event, Mr Hiscock said the expo not only boosted businesses directly involved with the expo, but it also provided economic benefit to the town.
‘‘There’s about 280 exhibitors here that have been manning the stands — I’d say probably 80 of them are from the town and 200 of them have booked accommodation somewhere.’’
‘‘It definitely ends up being a nice win for Shepp.’’
Mr Hiscock said following this year’s success, he looked forward to gaining momentum and expanding the expo next year.
