A large police presence is canvassing the area near the Shepparton Golf Course following reports of a loud bang earlier today.

A witness at the golf course said he heard the noise, which sounded like a gun shot, about 2pm today.
A number of police vehicles arrived in the area a short time later.
Police have remained in the area around the golf course and Kingfisher Drv and it appears they are looking for a suspect.
Police are speaking with people in the area and pulling over vehicles.
