Local photographer Nicole Peters took the emotional image, and she and Shepparton business McKellars Picture Framing donated it to GV Health’s maternity ward this week.
“It was my first birthing shoot,” she said.
“I have two kids myself but I’ve never been there for someone else’s birth; it was so beautiful.”
Ms Peters captured the moment in June this year, straight after the couple welcomed their baby's arrival.
Ms Peters had engaged them via social media after establishing her photography business.
She said she began taking clients in February — after moving to Shepparton from Bendigo — having been interested in photography for a few years.
GV Health maternity services manager Carmel Brophy thanked both Ms Peters and Stuart Gowty from McKellars Picture Framing for the donation.
Mr Gowty said they had donated many things to the hospital over the years, with the GV Health Foundation being their chosen charity.
