A woman has died after a car crashed into a cafe at a shopping centre, as police open an investigation.

Emergency services were called to a shopping centre in Wantirna South, in Melbourne's east, about 12.45pm on Monday following reports of a crash.
A woman, who was seated at a cafe at the Westfield Knox shopping complex, died at the scene.
She is yet to be formally identified.
A second customer was assessed by paramedics at the scene.
The driver and a passenger in the vehicle were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police do not believe the crash was intentional.
Martini and Co, which is located at Westfield Knox, posted on social media that it was closed until further notice following the incident.
"Please stay safe and we will keep you updated when we can reopen," it said.
A crime scene has been established and major collision detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
