A watch and act warning is in place for people in an area bounded by Eleventh Avenue, Forrest Road, Tonkin Highway and Rowley Road in Hilbert in the City of Armadale.
Emergency WA on Sunday said the blaze is a possible threat to lives and homes.
Residents are advised to leave now if the way is clear, or make final preparations to defend their home if they are prepared to do so.
There is also bushfire advice for parts of Forrestdale, Haynes, and Armadale in the City of Armadale.
There is no immediate threat to lives or homes in these areas, but Emergency WA says residents should remain alert in case the situation changes.
