Goulburn Valley Libraries is set to host writer Siobhan O'Brien across its branches this May as she presents her first novel, All the Golden Light.

Set in Australia during World War I, the historical fiction follows Adelaide Roberts who travels with her father delivering supplies to a remote island off NSW’s south coast.

The story unfolds as she encounters lighthouse keeper Emmett Huxley, while navigating societal pressure to wed local landowner Donal Blaxland.

O'Brien brings significant literary credentials as an author, journalist and communications expert. Her previous work includes A Life by Design: The Art and Lives of Florence Broadhurst, with writings featured in the Sydney Morning Herald, Vogue, Indesign and Monument.

Beyond writing, she performs with her musical group Minnie and The Moonrakers.

The author's tour includes stops at Tatura Library at 11am and Euroa Library at 2.30pm on Thursday, May 15, continuing to Numurkah Library at 11am and Yarrawonga Library at 2.30pm on Friday, May 16.

Attendees can purchase and have copies of All the Golden Light signed at each session.
