I first met Shane Sali when he joined Council in 2020. What immediately stood out was his willingness to learn, ask questions and find practical ways to get things done.

Having worked alongside him, I know how hard he works and the high standards of integrity he holds himself to. When faced with bureaucracy or pushback, Shane does not simply accept that nothing can be done. He looks for another way forward and keeps working at it.

Our community is better off for his leadership as mayor. During the devastating floods in 2022, Shane was on the ground, filling sandbags and directly supporting residents while keeping across the emergency response. He understood that leadership meant being there when people needed him most.

That same commitment is evident in his campaign. He is out listening to people, understanding their concerns and focusing on what he can do to help.

I urge my neighbours and people across the Shepparton district to vote for Shane Sali at the upcoming Victorian state election.

Regardless of which party forms government, I am confident that Shane, as our local member, would keep working to secure results for this district. I have seen his determination firsthand, and I know he would bring that same approach to Parliament.
