Tatura club legend Linc Wellington saved one of his best performances of 2022 for last at the weekend as he bid farewell to Goulburn Valley League football.

Wellington, who broke the club’s games record earlier this season, is set to hang up the boots on his storied and classy career.

So it was only fitting that Wellington gave Tatura supporters one last sublime outing.

Although Tatura suffered a tough 119-point defeat at the hands of Mansfield, Wellington’s exploits in his final hoorah was what fans wanted to see.

A club great dazzle one last time.

The two-time premiership player gathered 27 disposals — a season-high total.

The former Tatura coach, known for his footy smarts, clean skills and leap, was classy as always with ball in hand and posted 81 per cent efficiency by foot from 16 kicks.

Wellington’s day included five clearances, four tackles and four rebound 50s.

From 14 matches in 2022, Wellington averaged 15 disposals, four tackles and four marks a match.
