From his 38 touches, 26 of them were kicks and he finished with 62 per cent kicking efficiency.

His day out also consisted of 11 contested possessions, 11 groundball gets and 19 handball receives.

Herbert's next highest disposal count this season came in round four, coincidentally against Benalla, where he recorded 30 touches.

The two-time McNamara Medal winner in the Kyabram District League was the main player in getting the ball in the hands of gun talent Lachie Smith — who booted 11 majors.

Herbert chalked up 13 inside 50 entries and four score assists.

Throw in his six clearances and three tackles and it tops off a brilliant performance for the midfielder.

If Herbert is able to replicate this type of form over the next fortnight, then it will only enhance Kyabram's chances come finals.
