To the Class of 2025 completing high school – you now have the skills, knowledge, and experience to take on the next chapter of your journey. For many of you, exams are just around the corner.
You’ve put in the hard work and now it’s time to show everything you’ve learned.
Some of you have also undertaken vocational qualifications alongside your studies.
The practical skills you’ve gained will open doors and prepare you for exciting opportunities in the workplaces of tomorrow.
To those completing primary school – well done.
This marks a significant step in your educational journey.
As you head into high school, know that your teachers, support staff, and principals are there to guide and support you every step of the way.
To all students, I hope you take pride in your achievements. Whether you’re moving on to an apprenticeship, TAFE, university, the workforce, or just beginning high school next year, you should look back with pride at how much you’ve learnt and grown.
As the school year draws to a close, with exams, graduations, and celebrations ahead, don’t forget to take a moment to reflect and enjoy these final days with your classmates and friends.
My enormous thanks to the many parents, carers and school staff who have, and continue to, guide and encourage each and every one of you to do your best.
And finally – remember that marks and grades are just one measure of success.
No matter what your ATAR or study scores may be, they are just one step in your journey and do not define your future.
Whether you’re starting Year 7, beginning a new job, continuing study at TAFE or university, taking a gap year, or starting an apprenticeship – I wish you every success in whatever path you choose.
