Shepparton Central Probus Club celebrates Oaks Day

With bets aplenty and best dressed competitions, Shepparton Central Probus Club enjoyed its annual Oaks Day celebrations at the Peppermill Inn on Thursday.

The group enjoyed a lovely pub meal before settling in for races in the afternoon.

Shepparton Central Probus Club president Ian Brown said the Oaks Day celebration was one of the group's largest events of the year.

“It's a good day when we all get together,” Mr Brown said.

Although the group was missing a few members due to illness, those who attended enjoyed taking part in the fashion parade and placing a few gold coin bets across the afternoon.

Shepparton Central Probus Club undertakes trips throughout the year and welcomes new members to join in.
