Grahamvale Primary School Book Week celebrations

From Captain Underpants and Professor Poopypants to the Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter, students at Grahamvale Primary School dressed to impress for Book Week.

Teachers, students and parents participated in the celebrations by dressing up as their favourite book character and donating to the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation's Cuppa for Kids.

“We encourage the kids to put something together from home and be creative with their costumes to replicate their favourite character,” school art teacher Lyn Rogers said.

Students enjoyed several book-themed activities, including making rings, home-made games and masks.

“We focus on the literature and language of the books while enjoying the stories,” Ms Rogers said.

The celebrations concluded with an assembly, where students shared their Book Week experience.
