Award-winning pianist and Shepparton Australian National Piano Award finalist Nicholas Young teams up with renowned 10-string guitarist Matthew Fagan to present España El Vito — The Spirit of Spain and Tango at St Paul's Lutheran Church.
The duo will perform a Spanish repertoire from classical to flamenco, and will include the rhythmic sounds of South American classical and Latin masterpieces and modern jazz.
New arrangements will transform masterpieces by Joaquin Rodrigo, Isaac Albeniz, Manuel de Falla, Enrique Granados, Astor Piazzolla, Chick Correa, Maurice Ravel, and Claude Bolling.
Fagan has performed in more than 120 countries and toured with Billy Connolly, The Buena Vista Social Club, Shirley Bassey, Natalie Cole and and Michael Crawford.
Young has toured Australia and Europe and has appeared as soloist with the Vienna International, West Australian, Queensland, Adelaide and Willoughby symphony orchestras.
The pair will perform at St Paul's Lutheran Church, 54 Poplar Ave, Shepparton on Saturday, October 5 from 7.30pm.
