The concerts, which run four times a year — in March, May, September and November —feature a half-hour of music and dance with local entertainers leading the performance.
Children are provided with colouring pages and crayons, and are welcome to sit on the cushions and colour-in or join in the musical fun.
Riverlinks' performing arts and conventions manager Ken Cameron said the series was introduced a few years ago and had proven highly successful.
"They are a fantastic avenue for the region's talent to perform without the pressure of being on the big stage," Mr Cameron said.
He said performers included school bands, duos and soloists.
Entertainers for the September cushion concert are popular local singers Matt and Jamie Hooper.
They will perform from 10.30am to 11am on Wednesday, September 4.
Tickets are $5 for children, and no charge for adults accompanying a paying child.
