Billed as the perfect girls night out, Ms Dry takes a time warp back to when fringe perms and ra-ra skirts were cool as she explores the pressure to stay forever young and asks whether 40 really is the new 30 — or perhaps only with the right Instagram filter.
Riverlinks’ manager Ken Cameron said the show weaves songs from the 1980s and 1990s through witty stories.
‘‘I think a lot of people will recognise themselves as she skates through her life, telling audiences of a girl too eager to grow up,’’ Mr Cameron said.
He said the performance promises to be a sparking, enthralling, laugh-out-loud night out. Support act is local singer Jessica Lorraine, performing from 7 pm.
39 Forever: Amity Dry is on at Shepparton’s Eastbank Centre on Thursday, September 7, from 7 pm.
Tickets are from $37 to $45, which includes a one-course meal, from 6.30 pm. To book, phone Riverlinks on 5832 9511 or go to www.riverlinksvenues.com.au/whats-on
