Captain Mitch Marsh, probably with an eye towards a gathering storm looming large to the west of Brisbane, has chosen to chase a target against an India side that holds a 2-1 lead going into the final match of the series.
India won game four on Thursday night by 48 runs after Australia collapsed against a three-pronged spin attack at Carrara.
Both teams are aiming to find out more about their best combinations with the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka set to be held in February and March of next year.
India have made just the one change to the side that won on the Gold Coast with middle order batter Rinku Singh coming in for the rested Tilak Varma.
