On Thursday, May 1, Shepparton Christian College students from Prep to Year 12 participated in a whole-day athletics event at the McEwen Reserve Athletics Field.
Students showcased their school spirit by dressing up in creative costumes representing their house teams, all while joining in on competitive events and activities.
“As a teacher, it was wonderful to see all students push themselves and work together for their houses across the various activities, as well as to see others help with the smooth running of the event,” secondary teacher Loise Honeyman said.
“It brings out the best in our school community.”
Year 2 teacher Jessica Stone added it was a great day, with students taking part in a range of different events.
“From running races and throwing events to fun sack relays, students worked together and showed amazing sportsmanship as they competed with each other,” she said.
“I was really impressed with the encouragement of all students as they cheered and encouraged their peers.
“It was a great day had by all.”
