The Share the Wealth tournament was cancelled due to weather.
The trade day played at Finley on Thursday. Winners of the day were Ross Smith, Phil O'Dwyer and Colin Bawdon from Cobram, ahead of runners-up Ed Coulstock, Geoff Mitchell and Ray Wright from Barooga.
Best first game winners were G. Ashcroft, P Russell and G. Cullen. Best second game winners were Steve Johnson and team from Finley, best third game winners were G Westmore, G Beer and H Malloy from Tocumwal and best fourth game winners from Tocumwal were B. Dowling, B. Walters and J Wilson.
The power play jackpot was won by Vic Kendall and team from Cobram however the major jackpot was not won.
Keith's Friday winners were Tex Penna and Ken Newton with +21. Runners-up were Ray Wright and Brian Baldwin with 6.
Jo Pettit and Fred Pinnuck won best first game and Jan Cullen and Ken Anderson picked up best second game. The jackpot did not go off.
Friday pennant was very successful with both teams winning.
Division two won by 12 shots and is back in the four and will play the fifth-placed team next game.
Division one had a resounding win against Picola and is firmly placed in second position.
Friday pennant has a rest day on Friday, but can always have a practice by playing in Keith’s Friday. On Saturday, division one had a great win by three shots against Wunghnu, but unfortunately
divisions two and three lost against Berrigan at Berrigan.
The Saturday pennant teams play the round four matches, which were cancelled due to heat. On Sunday, the Champion of Champions games were played at Strathmerton. Peter Ware played Roy Taylor from Tocumwal but lost 15-25.
Ruth Burnett defeated Loris Houlihan, 25-14, to advance to the semi finals and will now play Sue Jamison from Picola Bowling Club on Sunday. Best of luck and good bowling.
The match committee has put on the notice board that the club fours and the club triples are now open events. Teams will be selected by the match committee, so put names on the notice board.
The closing date for the fours is January 21, with first round on or before March 3. The club triples closing date is March 25, with the first round to be played on or before April 5. Both events will not be board events.
