That’s why the school’s leadership team is inviting prospective families to come and see first-hand what makes the college so special.
St Augustine’s College Open Day is happening on Wednesday, May 7, with daytime learning walks and evening information sessions designed to fit into busy family schedules.
During the day sessions, visitors can take part in immersive learning walks — a chance to experience the dynamic classroom environments and first-class facilities and see the energy and engagement of all 700 students across various subjects and activities.
In sessions running from 8.15am to 4pm, leadership staff will take attendees on a guided tour of the school’s facilities to view classes from Prep to Year 12, and see what student life is like at the college.
Two college information evening sessions will give prospective parents an insight into what life at the college could look like across all-year levels.
From 5.30pm, families with children in Prep to Year 4 will discover how the college nurtures its youngest learners, including specially designed play areas for age-appropriate recess and lunch experiences.
From 6.30pm, families of Year 5 to Year 12 students will gain insights about the transformative journey through St Augustine's, preparing students for life beyond school.
Parents will learn all about the new St Augustine’s evidence-based learning program, Magnify Sandhurst, which harnesses the latest in learning science to foster positive and effective classroom environments.
St Augustine’s College is constantly evolving, bringing its master plan to life through ongoing capital works and infrastructure upgrades — including the addition of a new gymnasium and a dedicated college bus service from Tatura.
Adding to the excitement, the college has secured federal funding for a major new project: a cutting-edge senior centre, set to begin construction in late 2025 and open its doors in early 2027.
