Club Mulwala Outdoor Bowls

Cold wet and windy weather for most of the week limited our bowling this week.

Social:

Tuesday, July 9 saw a brave number of bowlers, including members and visitors on the green on a really chilly afternoon.

Winners on the day were Doug Chessum, Marg Pretty, and Jean Wheeler.

Runners up were Sam Smith and visitor Norm Windebak, Sam is having a great run playing with visiting players.

The jackpot did not go off. 

Remember social bowls are on each Tuesday at 12.30, (please try and be in attendance and paid up by 12.15pm).

Sheets are on the notice board behind the escalators, format will always be determined by the number of bowlers on the day. 

Visitors and single entries are always welcome.

Sunday, July 14 bowls were called off due to the weather.

Sheet is on the board for next week, remember bowls begin at 12.30pm with names in by 11.00am please.

2-4-2 nominate your team, however single entries are also accepted.

Pennant: The season is still a long way away, however forward planning is underway.

Lists are on the board for those members wishing to play pennant to put their names down.

Membership: Membership renewals are on the way to you. Please fill in the form and return to reception with your payment in an envelope addressed to David King Outdoor Bowls. 

YMGCR Bowls

Wednesday, July 10 – 36 bowlers played 3 bowl pairs.

Winners were new member Bruce Smith and Ian Cumming with + 19.

Runners up were Doug McTier and Mary Essex with + 15.

Jackpot of $110 not claimed. Must be in it to win it.

Sunday, July 14 – 16 bowlers braved the cold to play 2x4x2.

Winners were Daryl Richmond and Ian Cumming with +4.

Runners up were Robyn Moore and Marie Morffew +10.

Jackpot of $16 not claimed.

Yarrawonga Bowls 

Have you got your name down for pennant this coming season? If not, time is ticking away for decisions re – how many teams that we can fill.  Emergencies always needed too. 

Results – 

Monday July 8 - Winners – K McQualter and E Murdoch. Runners Up – C Gentle and R Jeffcott. The Jackpot was not claimed and will be carried over to next Monday.

Wednesday July 10 - A small group braved the weather, fresh air and good company. 3 Bowl Pairs were played.

Winners – R Jeffcott and R Neilson. No runners up paid. The Jackpot was not claimed and will be carried forward to next Wednesday.

Saturday July 13 - another cold one, (it is winter after all). 16 people rugged up and braved the conditions.  

3 Bowl Pairs were played with the winners on the day being – M Essex and M Reilly. Runners up - B Batty and V Kennedy. The Jackpot was not claimed and will be carried forward to next Saturday.

This week’s games – Wednesday July 17 - Jackpot Triples (numbers permitting). Saturday July 20 – Social, Monday July 22 - 2-4-2.

These games start at 12.30pm and names need to be down by 11am on the day.

To any members that are not well at the moment, we wish them a speedy recovery.
