Power outage to blame for Optus and Vodafone network failure

Optus and Vodafone customers in Shepparton experienced a network failure yesterday morning due to a power outage at a local exchange.

As a result, some customers in central Shepparton may have experienced intermittent interruptions to their mobile voice and data services.

Optus offered apologies to customers for any inconvenience experienced and thanked them for their patience while the issue was resolved.

All mobile services in the area were restored between 11am and 1.30pm.
