Man dies in motorcycle collision at Shepparton East

A man has died and another was being airlifted to hospital following a motorcycle collision in Shepparton East this morning.

Police believe two motorbikes collided on Coach Rd near the Midland Highway just after 12.30am.

One male rider, who police said was yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

The other rider, a male teenager, sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The exact circumstances of the collision are yet to be established and the investigation remains ongoing.

Coach Rd was this morning closed southbound between the Midland Highway and Channel Rd.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives were this morning on their way to the scene.
