Jackie Stockdale wanted to get involved with a smaller school and made the move after teaching at St Augustine’s in Kyabram.
Originally from Tongala, Ms Stockdale has been teaching for 17 years and has previously worked at schools in Melbourne and Shepparton.
“I went to Tongala Primary School so there are plenty of familiar faces around town,” Ms Stockdale said.
“Working in a smaller school is different but it’s a difference I enjoy. The school has a great atmosphere and sense of family.
“I’m looking forward to getting into it and learning from the experienced staff at the school.”
Katie Rasmussen comes to St Patrick’s after 12 years teaching at St Mary’s in Rushworth.
Ms Rasmussen said there were a lot of exciting things happening in Tongala that she wanted to be involved in.
“One of the many exciting things at the school is a big focus at St Patrick’s is on technology and it’s something I wanted to be a part of,” she said.
“I like seeing growth in students and I’m looking forward to using my experience to help students at St Patrick’s.
“My experience so far has been fantastic. The staff and families are all very friendly and it’s coming together well.”
Jane Stock has almost 20 years of teaching experience under her belt and has previously worked in Tatura, Benalla and Melbourne.
“Tongala is a beautiful little community and very welcoming,” Ms Stock said.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone and build some connections in the community.
“I love seeing the joy of learning in students and I want to bring that joy to student’s in Tongala.”
