It is hoped a good number of players will be able to attend.
Nine Deniliquin players travelled to Echuca Moama last Friday to take part in the social day.
It was a successful social day with 48 players competing.
Deni’s Jill Tainsh won the first division with a four game win.
Andy Davis won the most jump shots for the day with five successful jumps. Well done Jill and Andy.
On Sunday afternoon, 16 players lined up for croquet. Two players won their three games and John James won on a countback from John Tainsh both with 25 hoops.
Four players won two games and had good scores. Dors Peterson, Allan Tonta, Brad Fawns and Andy Davis all scored 22. T
There were 10 jump shots for the day. John James had four, Andy Davis three and Gwen Pearn, Brad Fawns and John Tainsh all had one.
On Wednesday morning the club welcomed visitor Wendy Black from the Macedon Ranges Croquet Club as well as a new player, Brian Dudley.
Nineteen players took to the courts with Allan Tonta the only three game winner scoring him the win for the day with 24 hoops.
However, there were several players with good scores despite losing one game.
Jill Tainsh had 28, Heather Douglas with 25, John James scored 22, Wendy Black had 21 and Brad Fawns scored 20 hoops.
New player Brian Dudley ran a very handy hoop-in-one as did Megan Tonta. John James was the only player to have any jump shots and he had two.
Deniliquin will travel to Echuca Moama for the Cross Border Challenge match on Friday, June 21 at 9.30am for a 10am start.
A list is on the noticeboard if you think you may be able to go and Echuca Moama will provide lunch.
The club would like to see at least 15 players prepared to go as it will be a good day of play.
The Deniliquin Croquet Club’s annual general meeting will be held on Sunday, June 23.
