After last week’s loss to the Bushies the football year is starting to slip away, the team needed to go to Dederang and put their best foot forward.

With a few out of the senior team again, there was still enough quality there to beat Dederang at Dederang, only problem was no-one told Dederang that.

The Cats were out played early and Dederang kicked the first four goals before the team put one on the board, to the team’s credit they fought back to take the lead but the home team was not going to lay down and in the finish they showed the Cats what it is like to have the will to win and what happens if you are all working together.

Next week is a trip up to the Kennel to take on the Dogs so this could get interesting.

Awards: Complete Body Craft - Josh Quick, Griffin Transport - Damien Wilson, Poachers Paradise Meal - Brendan Morris, Rutherglen Pizza - Sam Scott, Corowa Golf Club - Josh Warren.

A drive up to Dederang on Saturday with all indications that the team could put a good show and come out with a hard-fought win.

Much to the dismay of the Cats the Bombers took it to the team and we were on the back foot early, the big boys, Ryan Clohessy and Jack Holmes, Zave Talbot never stopped trying, and to know they were players down from the start did their best.

Coach Tommy Renshaw led from the front and had help from Blake McNamara, thanks to Tyler Ferrero and Harley Coulston for backing up and gave as much as they could.

The backline ‘again’ stuck tough under the circumstances with Christopher Lewis and Ollie Noble leading the boys well.

Tough loss to take but being down on the bench hurt a lot.

Positive feedback, based on what the team had on the park, no-one ever gave up and that is hopefully what will launch them back to the winners list this weekend against Thurgoona.

Stick tough boys, you are all in together for the fight!

Go Cats!!

Cats’ boys had a great game against Dederang with all the team contributing well.

Increased use of the handball, decreased handovers and straight kicking were the highlight.

Leadership team were rock solid allowing newer players to really step up and show their skills.

Other highlights were a Mitch Francis goal; Harry Saville’s first goal back from injury, Jyden Capper’s game, Luke Nicholson’s marking domination and Anden Ross in defence.

Training again this week before taking on Thurgoona U12’s.
