It was a day to remember for race goers as Benalla Racing Club hosted its first Gold Cup, with an audience, in three years.

The event managed to go ahead despite predictions of a thunderstorm, which never eventuated.

As always the Benalla crowd was dressed to impress with sharp suits and fascinators as far as the eye could see.
