Charges after $6m Sydney drug lab bust

Two men have been charged after police found a clandestine drug lab and seized more than $6 million worth of heroin, methylamphetamine, cocaine and other drugs in Sydney's southwest.

Detectives found the set-up while raiding a property in Belmore last Wednesday.

Police say more than five kilos of meth, 1.8kg of heroin, 70g of cocaine and 1.5 litres of methamphetamine oil were found at the property as well as items consistent with the manufacture and supply of prohibited drugs.

A 39-year-old man was arrested during a simultaneous raid at a Campsie home and was charged with a slew of offences, including manufacturing more than a commercial quantity of drugs.

He appeared at Bankstown Local Court, was refused bail and will reappear at the same court on October 13.

Detectives also stopped a car travelling north on the Pacific Highway near Urunga on the state's mid north coast on Saturday.

They seized 45kg of cannabis allegedly concealed in duffle bags in the car and charged the driver - a 30-year-old Warwick Farm man - with multiple drug offences.

He appeared at Port Macquarie Bail Court where he was formally refused bail to reappear at Coffs Harbour Local Court on Tuesday.
