A boisterous crowd made the most of an afternoon reprieve for the game of ‘two-up’ or ‘swy’ at the Shepparton RSL Club on Anzac Day.

The normally banned form of gambling was widely played by Australian soldiers during the two world wars and has become synonymous with Anzac Day commemorations.
After the emotion and reverence of the morning’s commemorations, two-up ‘schools’ held across the country often become a place of energy and irreverent humour, with a serious focus on the two pennies in question, and the one at Shepparton RSL was no exception.
