With more than 20 E-bikes on offer at his store, Ash Hall has been catering to the rising demand.
“I’ve been getting more and more enquiries about E-bikes every day,” Ash Hall Cycles’ owner Ash Hall said.
“Every day, someone will come in and ask whether they can find out more about E-bikes.
“People don’t understand how they work and they are genuinely curious to find out everything that they can.”
Mr Hall said E-bikes were not only extraordinarily fun to use, but they were also a practical bicycle purchase.
“They are enjoyable because you have the assistance of the motor, which means that you can travel for longer distances, but if you are looking to get more of a work-out in then you can just switch the motor off and pedal away, without that assistance.
“We have found that our customers generally tend to ride more and ride further when they have an E-bike.”
Mr Hall said E-bikes were an ideal purchase for novice riders who were looking to get back into riding and experienced riders.
If riding an E-bike is not to your liking, the store also has a wide variety of mountain bikes, road bikes and hybrid bikes that are available.
There are more than 100 bikes in stock at Ash Hall Cycles.
“Now that we are getting more bike paths in both towns, it’s a bit more of an encouragement for people to get on a bike and ride,” Mr Hall said.
