The AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccination clinic will be open on Friday and Saturday from 10am to 2pm, with anyone aged 18 and older able to walk in for the jab.
Following lengthy delays for ERH’s screening clinic on Wednesday, May 26, with 115 people tested, its hours will now be 10am to 5pm for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The clinic saw a spike in demand after the announcement a positive case had attended a local football match in Cohuna.
Anyone who attended Cohuna Recreation Reserve between noon and 5pm on May 22 has been told to get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.
People attending ERH for COVID-19 testing will be asked to wait in their cars and should be prepared for lengthy delays.
ERH is asking for patience and respect for their staff, who are working to meet the surge in demand.
In line with Victorian Government guidelines, the hospital is closed to all visitors except for end-of-life situations.
The screening clinic is located in the emergency department at ERH.
The vaccination clinic is accessed through the main entrance to the hospital on Service St, no appointment is necessary and Medicare cards are required.
Its usual opening hours are Monday to Thursday, 10am to noon and 1.30pm to 3pm.
