Before any coating is applied, the vehicle undergoes a thorough wash, chemical/mechanical decontamination and paint inspection. This allows us to assess the condition of the paintwork, acquire its thickness and determine exactly what preparation is required before protection begins.
Where necessary, paint correction may be recommended to reduce swirl marks, fine scratches, oxidation and other defects. A coating does not correct poor paintwork. It locks in the surface beneath it, which is why proper preparation and refinement are critical to achieving the best possible finish. But not all defects can be removed.
Once the surface has been correctly prepared, an appropriate Ceramic or Graphene coating can be applied.
These coatings create a durable protective layer, which bonds itself to the underlying paintwork, limiting the effects of UV exposure damage, environmental contamination, chemical stains or etching from bird droppings and everyday use. Their hydrophobic properties also make the vehicle easier to maintain, with water, dirt, road grime and tar less likely to bond heavily to the surface, when well maintained.
Graphene-enhanced coatings offer another option within this category, with formulations designed to deliver higher surface slickness, chemical resistance and durability.
But we don’t choose a coating based on the biggest number on the bottle or the strongest marketing claim.
