On Friday, May 15 Shepparton Library will host a free IDAHOBIT twilight event in support of LGBTQIA+ inclusion.
The International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination falls on May 17 annually.
Goulburn Valley operations manager Jenny Wyllie said the events provided a space for everyone to feel safe in the community no matter their sexuality.
“Everybody needs to feel safe and included wherever they are going in the community,” Jenny said.
“We’re really proud that we are able to provide that, particularly for younger LGBTQIA+ community members.”
The event will include market stalls, information tables, art and craft, free activities, live music and food.
Come along and show your support for the LGBTQIA+ community for a vibrant and inclusive evening between 5.30pm and 7.30pm.
Registrations are encouraged for catering purposes but not essential.
