The award can take up to four years to complete, but Breanna managed it in just two.
“I had to complete a bunch of activities, from bushwalking and pioneering to running my own camp,” Breanna said.
“I felt very happy that I had achieved something.
“Scouts has been an amazing experience; I’ve found a love for adventuring.”
Breanna’s favourite memory from her journey was a 48km three-day bushwalk that she organised for her Scout group.
“I had to think about risk management, food prep and costs,” she said.
The Scout group met on Saturday, March 14, to celebrate Breanna being the first Scout in the group to complete the award since COVID.
Breanna spoke about her journey and enjoyed afternoon tea with special guests Scout commissioner for the northern region Kelly Rummery, district leader Rohan Jefferis and state Member for Shepparton Kim O’Keeffe.
Breanna’s mother, Melissa Graham, said watching her daughter’s journey had “been a lovely experience”.
Breanna is looking ahead to the King’s Scout Award, which she will be able to complete when she becomes a Venturer Scout.
In August, Breanna hopes she can attend the World Scout Jamboree in Poland and has been fundraising with Bunnings barbecues and aluminium can recycling to get there.
The 1st Kialla Scout Group celebrated Breanna’s achievement with special guests.
