The hospice receives government money to run its services during the day, but this leaves a gap in what care is available outside normal business hours.
Last year, the event raised $77,650, which went towards buying new equipment and paying for support workers in the early mornings and evenings.
“If you haven't been involved with hospice, I guarantee you know someone who has,” rallye group chairman Min Innes-Irons said.
This year, the rallye will leave Shepparton on the morning of Saturday, May 2, bound for The Mercure Hotel in Ballarat, and will return home the next day.
The event is fully booked this year, with more than 120 people in 50 cars, ranging from classics to modern sports cars.
The rallye will cover 500km along scenic back roads that offer views of the rolling landscape.
“It’s a good weekend away,” Mr Innes-Irons said.
“Some of the roads we’ve been on are my favourite roads.
“The banter that goes on is just great.
“Most fundraising events peter out after a while, for us to still be going on is really important.
“It’s our 30th year, and we’re still going strong.”
Mr Innes-Irons is thankful for the committee behind him.
“Everyone does their bit of what they’re good at,” he said.
For those unable to attend, an online raffle is being held.
The prizes are a trip to the Gold Coast valued at $4000 donated by Reg and Michelle Qemal, a helicopter ride around Shepparton valued at $1500 donated by Tom Garrett, and a set of tyres up to $1000 donated by Central Tyre Service.
