Sunrise lands on the cover

When your ‘office’ is sometimes the outdoors, it’s easy to get swept up in the beauty that is the Southern Riverina.

And for Aaron Coulson, his perception of that beauty showcased across our region for the next 12 months.

Aaron won our photography competition to find a cover image for the 2026-2027 Southern Riverina Local Phonebook.

The brief for the competition was to send us an image that says ‘says Southern Riverina’.

The winning shot was taken while Aaron was completing weed inspections for the local council.

“We do receive some of the great sunrises from different areas in our local shire,” he said.

“You can’t beat the working land.”

The new phonebook is being printed now, and should be available in early April.

The free directory will be available for collection at outlets throughout the local community.
