Photo by Rechelle Zammit UPDATE 2.40pm: Hold tight - we’re checking permissions before loading more content Earlier power outages in Westmorland Cres in Shepparton and in the Bunbartha area have been resolved and power is back on. EARLIER: Seventy-six households on Westmorland Cres in Shepparton are experiencing a power outage on Monday, March 2. The power went off just before 10.30am. A Powercor spokesperson said the outage was due to a damaged “crossarm” at the top of a power pole outside Leslie Gribble Children’s Centre. Lines are hanging low but are not on the ground. Powercor is responding and is expecting to have the issue resolved in the coming hours. Meanwhile, Powercor has reported a blackout north of Bunbartha impacting 183 households. The outage started just before 11am. A Powercor spokesperson said a fuse had been activated but the cause was currently unknown. Powercor estimates the issue will be resolved by 1.30pm. Affected households will receive updates via text message.
