During the October 2022 flood event the weir was damaged, impacting staff access and flow regulating infrastructure.
Remote operation of the site has been reinstated which will help support the efficient delivery of irrigation and environmental deliveries downstream of the weir.
The works also included the replacement of a damaged vertical lift door and erosion protection upstream of the weir wall.
Additionally, damaged footwalls and guardrails were renewed in the course of the works.
The upgrades were completed without any service interruptions, including allowing continued access to fishing spots near the weir.
G-MW manager of diversions groundwater and streams Peter Clydesdale said G-MW thanked customers for their co-operation throughout the works.
“We sent a reminder message out to Campaspe diverters to place their orders at least four days in advance of the works,” he said.
“This was to ensure releases from Lake Eppalock arrived at their extraction sites on the day they intended to pump.
“Our message was responded to well by irrigators, and we thank them for their ongoing co-operation.”
