Hosted by the Goulburn Valley Chinese Association, this free community event will run from 1pm to 5pm at Riverlinks Eastbank.
Locals from across Greater Shepparton and the wider Goulburn Valley are invited to immerse themselves in an afternoon of culture, colour and community connection.
Festival-goers can look forward to a traditional lion dance, live music and Chinese instrumental performances that showcase the region’s rich cultural tapestry.
Curious visitors can try their hand at Chinese calligraphy and crafts, or explore a spotlight on Shepparton’s sister city, Lijiang in China.
A formal segment from 2:30pm to 3pm will honour community leaders, partners and supporters, highlighting the power of multicultural collaboration in regional Victoria.
GVCA president Jimmy Li said the celebration was “a chance for residents to engage with traditions that are an important part of life for many families in the region”.
The day also promises food trucks, community stalls and family-friendly activities, creating a welcoming space for all ages.

Backed by Greater Shepparton City Council, the Victorian Multicultural Festivals & Events Program and local partners including Sinopec and the RSL, the event is a true showcase of community spirit.
RSVPs are encouraged online due to limited floor capacity, but the celebration remains free and open to everyone.
