The new service means licence photo services previously offered through the Yarrawonga Mulwala Tourist Information Centre are now available directly at the Community and Learning Centre, improving convenience and accessibility for the local community.
“YMCLC is now Yarrawonga’s designated VicRoads service provider for licence photos,” YMCLC executive Julie-Anne Clarke said.
“The service allows residents to have photos taken on site for driver licence and permit photo updates, as well as Vic Police Shooter Licence photos.”
Ms Clarke said while the addition expands local access, the Community and Learning Centre is not a full VicRoads office.
Services such as licence renewals, driving tests, vehicle registrations and more complex enquiries must still be completed online or through a full VicRoads centre.
Community members requiring additional VicRoads services are encouraged to visit the VicRoads website or contact VicRoads directly for assistance.
Payment for VicRoads photo services at the Centre is by card only, with cash not accepted.
Ms Clarke said that bringing the service to the centre strengthens its role as a trusted and accessible hub for essential community services.
“The VicRoads photo service also complements the centre’s existing education, welfare and support programs,” she said.
The initiative is expected to significantly reduce the need for residents to travel outside the region, particularly benefiting older residents, people with limited transport options, and those balancing work and family commitments.
The VicRoads photo point operates from the Yarrawonga Mulwala Community & Learning Centre at 1 Hargrave Court, Yarrawonga, Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 4.00pm.
