Aston Villa ended in second place after a 3-2 comeback win at home against Red Bull Salzburg on Thursday night, having already secured their last-16 place.
Villa fought back from 2-0 down, but England forward Ollie Watkins was forced off with a suspected hamstring injury.
"He (Watkins) felt something, but not a lot. We will test him," said Villa boss Unai Emery.
"I don't know if he will be available for Sunday (at home to Brentford in the Premier League)."
Teenager Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba's first senior goal earned a late victory for the hosts at Villa Park after Morgan Rogers cut the deficit and Tyrone Mings levelled with 15 minutes remaining.
"Overall (I'm) happy and today we used some young players - for them it's very important to have chances to show their progress," Emery added.
"This competition is very important. (The) priority is Premier League but this is (the) second objective."
Nottingham Forest also made it safely through after a 4-0 victory at home against Ferencvaros, coached by Ireland legend and English football veteran Robbie Keane.
An Igor Jesus brace after Bence Otvos' early own goal and James McAtee's late penalty made it an easy evening for Forest against the Hungarian club.
Denmark's FC Midtjylland secured third place with a 2-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb, while 10-man Roma scored a late equaliser to draw 1-1 with Panathinaikos in Greece.
Real Betis finished fourth thanks to a 2-1 win over Feyenoord, for whom Socceroo Jody Bos played the opening 61 minutes.
FC Porto recovered from going a goal down to beat Rangers 3-1 to secure fifth spot, while Glasgow rivals Celtic avoided an embarrassing opening-phase exit by beating FC Utrecht 4-2 to make the unseeded playoffs in 21st position.
Sporting Braga finished sixth after a scoreless draw at Go Ahead Eagles.
Freiburg lost 1-0 at Lille after Olivier Giround's added-time penalty but the Black Forest side still went straight through in seventh after just one defeat in eight league matches.
11th through to 24th will play a knockout phase, with the first legs taking place on February 19.
