The event will be held on Sunday, January 25, transforming Bundalong into a hub of high-energy rodeo competition and festival-style celebrations.
The program, set in the custom-built rodeo arena, includes extreme bronc riding, bull riding, breakaway roping and more, alongside food, drinks and children’s activities.
Organiser Brett Butler said the event had been designed to bring something special to the region.
Popular Country music artist Wade Forster will have the crowd on their feet at the Bundy B Fest this weekend.
“We’ve teamed up with some incredible people to bring something huge to Bundalong, and you’re invited to be part of it,” Mr Butler said.
A major highlight of the day will be a live performance by popular country music artist Wade Forster, who will perform in the middle of the arena, supported by Daniel Barrett and DJ Willie Pake.
Mr Butler credited Eddy Gill of Gill Brothers Rodeo Company for supplying top-quality livestock, following strong performances at the December 27 rodeo, where two open riders and four novice riders successfully completed full eight-second rides.
“They have the best rodeo stock in Australia, and they will return for our Australia Day long weekend event,” he said.
He said the growing popularity of rodeo events continued to deliver significant benefits to the local economy, with an estimated $5 million generated each summer.
The Bundy B Fest will also feature American-style barbecue, food vans, festival eats, ice-cold beverages and kids’ rides, making it a family-friendly day out.
New this year is on-site camping, allowing patrons to stay overnight and enjoy the full event.
“This year we’re doing things bigger and better, and we’ve introduced on-site camping so people can set up, stay close and enjoy the day without worrying about the drive,” Mr Butler said.
Bus transfers will also be available from surrounding towns to help patrons travel safely to and from the event.
Event gates open at 3 pm and close at 8 pm, with no entry permitted after 8 pm. Camping gates open at 12 pm and close at 5 pm, with all vehicles required to be parked by that time. No vehicle movement will be allowed after 5 pm.
Pass-outs will not be permitted, and no BYO alcohol is allowed in the camping area due to liquor control regulations.
