Jerilderie activities will start on Sunday with a Sunrise Cultural Walk starting at 6am from behind The Willows in Powell St.
This will include the sharing of stories, visits to significant sites, and finishing with a chance to enjoy Auntie’s fried scones.
The Jerilderie Swimming Pool will be open from 10am on Sunday, with free entry.
Join in the fun of inflatable volley ball, and lawn games, and cool off with icy poles.
The pool will also be open all day on Australia Day, from 9am to 7pm.
The formal Australia Day celebrations start 6.30pm at Luke Park, beside the lake on Monday.
Activities will include the presentations of Australia Day awards, free entertainment, and ending with the usual spectacular fireworks display.
Glow products and food will be available for purchase - cash only, please.
Take your own picnic rugs, chairs and nibbles, and mosquito repellent just in case.
Don’t forget to make sure that your dogs are in a safe, secure place, so that they can’t run away when the fireworks start.
