Four guns — three rifles and a shotgun — were stolen from a home in town in the early hours of January 3.
Also taken were assorted ammunition, cash and hunting equipment, among other items.
Police arrested a 43-year-old Mooroopna man on January 6, and charged him the following day with theft of firearms, burglary, committing an indictable offence while on bail, theft, being a probative person possessing a firearm, and possessing a trafficable quantity of firearms.
The man has been remanded in custody to appear in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court in April.
Police said many of the items were recovered after a search warrant on a Mooroopna house, but a rifle and the shotgun were still missing.
Investigators believe other people were involved.
