While schools often celebrate strong results, it’s not every day they get a two-for-one deal — academic excellence paired neatly with leadership credentials.
Theo, a house captain, and Billy, the college captain, both managed to lead while keeping their eyes on the academic prize.
Their journeys, however, are now diverging.
Billy is staying local, taking up work at GV Health to assist allied health professionals.
“It could be anything from physio to occupational therapy,” he said
Theo, meanwhile, has his sights set further afield — first England, where he’ll spend the summer with family, and then Monash University in Melbourne, joining older brother Arjen to study chemistry.
Despite different futures, the twins share a long history.
“From Year 7 to Year 9 we were pretty much together all the time,” Theo said.
Lunchtimes were spent playing soccer on the oval, a daily ritual.
With Theo heading overseas and moving out, Billy is bracing for a quieter household.
“The house is going to be quite now I’m the only one left,” he said.
As the new year commences, the twins look ahead to new opportunities beyond the classroom.
