Cooper Gosstray’s geographic origins seem like a far cry from the world of electronic music.

But slowly, he’s been bridging two worlds that rarely collide.
The Shepparton-born creative will next bring that vision home when he hosts Propulsion Open Air Day Party at Downtown Shepparton on Wednesday, December 24, marking the third year of his music events label, Propulsion Project.
“Shepp doesn’t typically have too much going on in the electronic music scene, and it (Propulsion) was a way for me to express and bring that to the country,” Gosstray said.
“The main gist of it is running events locally.”
The 18+ dance and electronic music event will feature Melbourne headliners Laura King and Interpol, alongside sub-headliner and Shepparton local 3amdisco, plus Jooki, Luna X and M!a Wallace.
“3amdisco is a Shepparton local and he’s taking the world by storm at the moment, so it’s good to have him back on board,” Gosstray said.
“He was actually one of the original artists in the first lineup I had.”
Partygoers from the paddocks of regional Victoria drawn to the pulse of the electronic dance floor can expect “a lot of techno, a lot of house music, and just day-party vibes”.
“Get on down Christmas Eve,” Gosstray said.
“It’ll be a great day ... and we have a secret guest playing as well.”
Propulsion Open Air Day Party is on Wednesday, December 24, from 5pm at Downtown, 47 High St, Shepparton.
