Artist Glenda Cornell has marked two major milestones this year — 30 years of artistic practice and 10 years of her beloved Whistle Stop Studio Gallery in the Port of Echuca.

Her reflective Decades of a Wet Palette exhibition, held in Kyabram, celebrated her journey, growth and enduring passion for art.
“I feel this exhibition really showed how I’ve grown over the decades and reminded me how important it is to keep practising your craft,” Glenda said.
“I’m proud of my achievements, but I’m also incredibly grateful for the encouragement and support from family, friends, students, fellow artists and those who follow my journey.
“I feel very lucky to have this passion for art.”
Over the years, Glenda has continued to evolve, exploring new techniques, experimenting with different mediums and finding fresh ways to share her gift.
Whether working in oils, acrylics or mixed media, her work radiates warmth, emotion, and heart — often featuring her signature ladybug delicately tucked into a piece.
Her paintings tell stories, capturing the light, colour and beauty of everyday life.
Glenda’s humility is as enduring as her talent — her work is not only skilful, but soulful.
With paintbrush still firmly in hand, she continues to take on commissions and create with joy, sending each piece out into the world to be cherished by others.
