Families lined the hill of Goulburn Park leading down to the sound shell, where local artists shone on stage, filling the space with festive songs.
Delivered by the Lions Club of Seymour Goulburn, with the support of Pastor Daniel Sanders and the Combined Churches in Seymour, as well as of Mitchell Shire Council, the event took place throughout the afternoon of Sunday, December 14.

Immediately, it garnered a positive response from the community members who attended.
“We enjoy the event because we get the best feedback, and we get to see all those people on the hill. The hill was covered in families,” president of the Lions Club of Seymour Goulburn Regina King said.
“Those families come along, and they get a really good night of entertainment."

For the club, which certainly keeps busy throughout the year, Carols in the Park is up there with the top events it facilitates for the community.
And while proceeds made supported the Seymour Junior Netball Club, the event isn’t designed to be a fundraising one.
“We just love it — it’s one of our favourite events,” Ms King said.

“We run it for the community. It’s a community event for us, not a fundraising event.
“It’s our way of giving back at the end of the year, thanking the community, thanking everyone who supported us all year. And, we’re so grateful with the way Seymour supports us.”
While this is the Lions’ last event in town for 2025, they’ll be back in the new year to deliver another highly anticipated Show ’n’ Shine.
