The three-year-old son of Poster Boy claimed his biggest race win in his 24 races career to date with a last gasp win in the $100 000 final for three-year-old pacing colts and geldings.
Trained by Russell Jack and driven by his son Nathan, Its Confidential raced four back on the pegs and weaved his way around and in between horses in the home stretch to snatch victory from Forty Love by a short half head in a hectic finish.
Its Confidential, who was a 10/1 shot, pocketed first prizemoney of $50,000 which took his career earnings to $152 054 from 11 wins and seven minor placings from 24 starts.
Russell Jack said he gave Its Confidential a chance of winning from a suitable draw and thought at 10/1 he was ‘‘over the odds at bit".
Jack said Its Confidential had shown ability from the time he was broken in and was a very honest and consistent pacer.
His last seven starts have all produced top three finishes.
Jack said the upcoming Breeders Crown would be Its Confidential’s next mission.
While Its Confidential was the only Goulburn Valley winner at the Melton meeting, Undera breeder and owner Ray Sellwood savoured anther win with the unbeaten two-year-old pacer Arrythmia who pipped the hot favourite Pre Eminant in the two-year-old pacers final to make it seven wins from seven starts.
Congupna trainer Mark Lee produced Munny The Muster, driven by Stacey Towers , for a third place finish in the two-yea-old colts and geldings for two year old trotters, while Avenel horseman Josh Aiken chased home the freakish Keayang Zahara in the four year old final for trotting mares with Maoris Mac.
