Swanpool Cinema patrons enjoyed a grand afternoon tea and movie to celebrate the Benalla Festival.
More than 120 movie-goers were delighted with the Downton Abbey film and a delicious cream tea.
The fresh scones were crafted by Swanpool’s very own Shirley Davidson, and they were highly praised by the crowd.
Swanpool Cinema events organiser Marlies Tammies was delighted with the great response of cinema-goers and thanked the Benalla Festival organisers for their support of the matinée.
“Guests came from far and wide, including Mansfield, Shepparton, and Andrew and Kathleen Gosden from Beechworth, who took advantage of the beautiful day and travelled to Swanpool in their 1929 Triumph Super 7,” Marlies said.
“What a perfect vehicle to match the movie, which was set in the early 1930s.”
