The facility and its Kerang counterpart, managed by Gannawarra Shire Council, will be open from 3pm to 7pm for the remainder of the month.
Acting council chief executive Wade Williams said it was fantastic to welcome people back to the pools, which hosted 32,000 visitors last season.
“Our dedicated group of outdoor swimming pool lifeguards are looking forward to what will be a busy season,” he said.
Revised opening hours are in place this season, with the following arrangements in place:
- Monday, December 1 to Friday, December 19 ― open 3pm to 7pm weekdays, and 11am to 7pm weekends.
- Saturday, December 20 to Saturday, January 31 ― open 11am to 7pm daily.
- Sunday, February 1 to Saturday, February 28 ― open 3pm to 7pm weekdays, and 11am to 7pm weekends.
- Sunday, March 1 to Monday, March 9 ― open 3pm to 7pm daily.
Both outdoor pools will be open from noon to 7pm on Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, Australia Day, and the Labour Day public holidays, but closed on Christmas Day.
Days forecast by the Bureau of Meteorology to be 23ºC or lower in Cohuna will see the pool closed.
“Any changes to opening times, including during instances of inclement weather, will be publicised via council’s Facebook page,” Mr Williams said.
